Retaining Wall Inspections

Five Points of Consideration for Retaining Walls:
- Retaining walls are used to hold back soil and earth areas. Sea walls are used to hold back water
- Retaining walls can be constructed of steel, wooden timbers, poured concrete, masonry blocks or stone
- Retaining walls should be constructed with a back angle called a batter
- Retaining walls should not be leaning forward and should not impact the house structure.
- There is a limited life to any retaining wall system
